ERROR: Random File Unopenable

The random file, as specified in the $random_file perl variable was unopenable.

The file was not found on your file system. This means that it has either not been created or the path you have specified in $trrandom_file is incorrect.

Opera Software Releases Beta Versions of Browser for Windows & Linux

Opera Software has posted beta versions (v6.0) of its flagship web browser for both the Windows and Linux operating systems. The updated browsers support the Unicode Worldwide Character Set, which makes Opera available for the first time in Asian-Pacific languages such as Japanese and Eastern European languages such as Russian.

The browser's new "Hotclick" features enables double clicking and right-clicking of phrases that displays a pop-up menu of features, including search, encyclopedia lookup, and translation. Continuing with a long-standing tradition of tight integration with the most popular search engines, the new version of Opera makes searching the web a snap.

The new Linux version includes a cookie management feature that lets a user examine cookies placed on his system in addition to authorizing or denying future cookies from that website and linked third-party sites. Opera will add this cookie cutter feature to the Windows version of the browser in the future.

The preview versions of the program may be downloaded for free from Opera's website.

Dave's Opinion

Opera is my first choice for a web browser. It's the fastest browser I've tested, and it runs well in very little RAM, a real boon when one of the memory chips in my laptop failed this past summer.

I suggest you download either the most recent finished version or the new preview version and give Opera a test for yourself. I'll bet you never go back to Navigator or Internet Explorer.
